Aviation

If you are reading this webpage you have probably attended my class on aviation. I have included some great information and further links I think you will find interesting. You may want to check back on occasion, as I may be updating or adding more information to this page. You can also contact me if you have any questions regarding aviation by email at td@flagsexpress.com.

Without a doubt aviation is expensive, but if you really want to fly there are all types of clubs, individuals, and resources that will help you become a safe pilot while saving on cost. For example, when I was 10 years old I became interested in aviation. I started building and flying model airplanes and rockets. By the age of 14, I joined a Boy Scout Club that specialized in aviation. The Boy Scout group provided free books and training aids and rides to the airport. Shortly after I started studying to become a pilot. I was 17 years old when I earned my pilots license for power planes and shortly after my glider certificate. Today the EAA offers training through a program called the Young Eagles, which you will find a link below.

Happy flying,
Thomas J D’Amico
