This is to advise that Governor Wes Moore ordered the Maryland Flag lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset, Sunday, June 1, 2025, for Fire and Rescue Memorial Remembrance Day. This day honors all fire, rescue, and emergency medical services personnel from the State of Maryland who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

After sunset on Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Maryland flag will continue to fly at half-staff until sunset on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in honor of Emergency Vehicle Driver Charles Mudra.
