In accordance with the United States flag code, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at half-staff immediately today, June 3, 2025, to honor DCNR Forest Supervisor and Fire Warden and Fire Chief of Carsonville Vol. Fire Company, David L. Warfel, who died on Thursday, May 29, 2025. The flags shall be lowered to half-staff until sunset on Friday, June 6, 2025.

All Pennsylvania residents are invited to participate in this tribute.
