While continuing to honor the memory of Queen Elizabeth II, by order of the Governor, flags over the State Capitol and all State office buildings shall also be flown at half-staff from 9/12/22 until sunset 9/14/22 in honor of Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals Judge, John Everett Williams of Huntingdon, who recently passed away after serving the judiciary for nearly 25 years. In 2018, he was named presiding judge of the Court of Criminal Appeals, becoming the first judge from West Tennessee to hold that position in over two decades.
