Ever wondered if you can wash your American Flag? Follow the guidelines below for the best flag washing practices.
- Hand wash or Gentle Cycle of your washing machine
 - Cool water - not hot
 - Do NOT SOAK (the red may bleed)
 - Very mild detergent such as dish soap or shampoo
 - Spot treat stubborn dirt stains with the detergent directly on the stain
- Scrub spots with gentle brush before throwing into washing machine
 
 - Hang/Line dry only
- Do not put in the dryer.
 
 - Let flag completely dry before folding or storing
 

Want to safely remove wrinkles? (Steam is the secret)

Set your iron for Synthetics (with steam)
 - 
Once iron is hot, test a small corner (Iron temperatures can vary)
 - 
You can add a piece of cloth between the iron and the flag for extra protection
 - 
Try spraying stubborn wrinkles with water for better results
 
Noticing wear/fraying on the fly end?
- 
You can trim small frays with scissors
 - 
Once trimmed, apply some Liquid Fray Prevention to help slow the fraying
 - For major fraying, we recommend getting your flag repaired
