When an official proclamation is made for the American flag to be lowered to half-staff there are several flag flying situations which make it virtually impossible to comply. For example it is impossible to lower the American flag to half-staff in the following applications:

I have two front porch flags and one bag yard patio 25’’ telescoping flag pole that I couldn’t put at 1/2 mast. The black ribbons came just in time and they all three look good on my flags during this last period of national respect. They are very well made and will last a long time. I am sorry for the negative comment on the mourning ribbon however it needs to be in two separate pieces one for each side and somehow make the connection a little longer it causes the flag to furl on a non furl flag and flagpole because it a just to tight and won’t unfurl with flag.
