Governor Katie Hobbs has ordered flags at all state buildings to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on June 30 in honor of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives protecting fellow Arizonans from the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013.

The Governor released the following statement:

“We honor the memory and legacy of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots who sacrificed their lives to keep Arizonans safe. Their bravery and service to our state will always be remembered, and we are holding their families, friends and the entire Prescott community in our thoughts."
