Today, in accordance with the United States flag code, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered United States and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds in Tioga County at half-staff immediately today, January 24, 2025, to honor Big Elm Volunteer Firefighter and Rescue Captain Roger Lathrop who died on Thursday, January 23, 2025. The flags shall be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the date of interment, which has yet to be announced. All Pennsylvania residents are invited to participate in this tribute.
