On Monday, November 24, 2025, in accordance with the United States Flag Code, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds in Northampton County to fly at half-staff immediately in honor of Northampton Fire Department Captain and retired Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Michael Booke, who passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, due to injuries suffered during a training exercise last month.

The flags shall remain at half-staff until sunset on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

All Pennsylvania residents are invited to participate in this tribute.
