The Governor orders that the flags atop the State Capitol be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Friday, October 4, 2024, in tribute to, and as a mark of respect for the memories of, the innocent South Carolinians who lost their lives as a result of Hurricane Helene, and the Governor requests that the flags over state buildings and buildings of the political subdivisions of this State similarly be flown at half-staff for this purpose.
