By order of the Governor and in accordance with the Honoring Hometown Heroes Act, flags over the State Capitol and all State office buildings will fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Sunday, September 8, 2024, (the day of internment) in honor of Jefferson County paramedic Captain and Assistant Chief of the Rescue Squad, Jeremy Sutton, who was killed in the line of duty on August 31, 2024.
