Governor Greg Abbott has authorized the flags of the State of Texas and the United States to be lowered to half-staff immediately in Ellis County in honor of the life and service of Ellis County Detention Officer Isaiah Bias who was killed in the line of duty. Flags will return to full-staff by sunrise December 24, 2024, A memorial service for Officer Bias will be held on Monday, December 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in the Midlothian Conference Center.
