Governor Mark Gordon has ordered the Wyoming State Flag be flown at half staff at the Capitol in Cheyenne and in Natrona County from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, August 23 in honor and memory of Gail Zimmerman. Mr. Zimmerman represented Natrona County in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 1985-1988 and in the Wyoming Senate from 1989-1998, serving as Chairman of the Senate Education Committee from 1993-1998. He passed away July 30, 2025.

Please note that this notice is only for the Wyoming State Flag and only at two locations in the state - at the Capitol Building and in Natrona County. Other flags should remain at full-staff.
