April 6, 2024 - Half-Staff Alert - Iowa

Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags in Iowa to fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Saturday, April 6, 2024, to honor fallen U.S. Army Pfc. Pfc. Raymond U. Schlamp served in General George Patton’s Third Army from November of 1941. He and others were killed while crossing the Moselle River near the Horseshoe Woods. His remains were not identified until 2022, and his family more recently received a full briefing on his identification.
