Today, Governor Kristi Noem ordered that flags be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol from sunrise until sunset on Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, in honor of former state legislator Barry M. Jensen. He represented Mellette County in the South Dakota State House of Representatives from 2001-2002 and 2005-2006.

A celebration of life service for former state legislator Barry M. Jensen will take place at 1:00 pm on September 23rd, 2023, at the Community Events Center in White River.
