By order of the Governor, flags over the State Capitol and all State office buildings are to fly at half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, in honor of the ultimate sacrifice of US Army PFC Oliver Jeffers of Huntsville. Jeffers was killed while serving in World War II and his remains are now being brought home to Tennessee.
