Governor Inslee is deeply saddened by the death of Bothell Police Officer Jonathan Shoop, 32, and directs that Washington State and United States flags at all state agency facilities be lowered to half-staff in his memory on Tuesday, August 4, 2020. Officer Shoop died in the line of duty on Monday, July 13, 2020.

Flags should remain at half-staff until close of business or sunset on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Other government entities, citizens and businesses are encouraged to join this recognition.

A memorial service will take place on August 4, 2020, at 11:00 am, in Bothell and will be limited to 200 attendees.
