Today, in accordance with the United States flag code, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered United States and Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds in York County at half-staff immediately today, August 22, 2024, to honor Fire Policeman and Newberry Township resident Brian Peek who died in Newberry Township on Friday, August 16, 2024. The flags shall be lowered to half-staff until sunset on the date of internment, which has not yet been announced. All Pennsylvania residents are invited to participate in this tribute.
