Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
As soon as my replacement flag arrived, I unwrapped it and hung it up in place of my old one which was a good 2 years old. The old one was still just as good from the perspective of fabric and stitching condition, but the Texas son had faded the colors to pink, faded denim, and cream. I hadn't realized how much it had faded until I hung the brilliant true red, white and blue! The faded one had served its time and I retired it to our ACE Hardware which has a proper drop box for retired flags to be correctly handled. Thank you for your sturdy product made in the USA.
