By order of the Governor, flags over the State Capitol and State office buildings shall be lowered to half-staff, effective immediately until sunset on Monday, February 20, 2023, to mark two solemn occasions for Tennesseans:

In memory of CW3 Danny Randolph of Murfreesboro and CW3 Daniel Wadham of Joelton who were involved in a fatal UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crash while flying a training mission for the Tennessee National Guard. 

In honor of Major General Gary L. Harrell of Johnson City, a legendary Delta Force leader who passed away on February 14, 2023, at the age of 71. MG Harrell is being remembered as a strong Christian patriot who loved his country and lived a life of service and sacrifice.
