Governor Abbott directed county judges in the Fifth Court’s jurisdiction to lower U.S. and Texas flags to half-staff on Saturday, August 1, 2020 in honor of Justice David L. Bridges. Flags on the Texas Capitol Building will also be lowered. Individuals, businesses, and other political subdivisions and entities are encouraged to fly flags at half-staff for the same length of time.
