Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
With the 250th celebration upcoming, We chose to buy a flagpole to install in our front yard. We spent several days setting the base just right in the perfect spot. waited for a few days to let the concrete to set.. The day had arrived to assemble all the pieces together and to reveal old Glory in all her splendor. It was time to prepare the flag that came with the package to take its' proper place atop our now prodigious 20' Pole. As I unfolded it for the first time, I noticed a small tag attached to the seam....."MADE IN CHINA" ! Well I'll save you the R rated events that played out after that realization. Needless to say I immediately ordered the gorgeous MADE IN AMERICA flag you sent me so quickly. All the world is right again....Thank you VERY much....Signed a very Happy American!!!
