Heavy Duty American Flags

Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

  • 100% Made in the USA
  • Commercial Quality for Extreme Winds
  • UV Resistant
  • 2-Ply Polyester
  • Reinforced for Wind Damage Resistance
  • Sewn stripes & embrodiered stars
  • Unidirectional Chain Stitch for all horizontal seams (which makes the flag much stronger)
  • Lock Stitch for all edge hems
  • 100% Made Tough in the USA

Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. More information can be found here on our American Flag Repair Services.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.

    Poly-Max flag(extreme winds)

Posted by Great craftsmanship! on Jul 10, 2022

Amazing craftsmanship as a well as super fast shipping! A lot of extra stitch work in all the areas that usually get wind-worn within a short time in my windy area. When I need another flag, I’ll order another of the same instead of sewing extra stitching on an old flag.

Well Made for Very High Winds

Posted by James DeSantis on Jul 10, 2022

I bought this flag as a replacement for an earlier purchase. The very high winds we experienced over the year started ripping the end of the flag. (I have it in for repairs with American Flags Express now.) This is the heaviest material available and it certainly feels like it'll withstand a tornado or hurricane! I expect this flag will last quite a while before damage sets in. It does take a stronger wind to get the flag to unfurl and wave than the other flag did, but we get enough wind to make it wave routinely. I'd buy this flag again!

This a great looking flag and should hold up to the winds we get on our hill.

    Flag is wonderful

Posted by Puttsey on Jul 04, 2022

I have bought flag here before. At first I thought this flag was a little thin. However, it flies much better than my heavier flag. Very , very satisfied. Bought the no tangle 6 foot pole which has not tangled yet. Again very satisfied. Highly recommend both.

Love the extra stitching and the embroidery!

Will definitely order another one, I have the winds so the extra stitching has got to help with the flag life!

I live in a very windy area and my last flag started to shred along the bottom edge in just over a month.

Still Testing in Texas Strong Winds

Posted by Lady K on Jun 23, 2022

Installed this flag on June 3, 2022 . When I took the flag out of the package, I could tell the outstanding quality right away. Oh that made me smile! This flag was a gift to my sweetheart and he was soooooo excited to receive it since all the other flags he purchased never lasted long under the same weather conditions. He was like a kid with a new toy...and had to install it right away. She is doing great so far in the strong winds she deals with on a daily basis. :)
