Flag Status Alert: United States Flag and Maryland Flag will Return to Full-Staff

The United States Flag and Maryland State Flag shall be raised to full-staff at sunset tomorrow, Tuesday, January, 11, 2022, the day of interment for Officer Keona Holley of the Baltimore Police Department, who died on December 23, 2021 after being critically injured in the line of duty on December 16, 2021. 


This is to advise that Governor Larry Hogan ordered the Maryland State Flag be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset, Wednesday, December 29, 2021. This is the day of interment for former State Senator Clyde Bernard Fowler, who passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Former State Senator Fowler represented Legislative District 29.

The United States Flag will remain at half-staff on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in honor of Officer Keona Holley of the Baltimore Police Department.

After sunset on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, both the United States Flag and Maryland State Flag will continue to fly at half-staff until sunset on the day of interment (not yet known) for Officer Keona Holley of the Baltimore Police Department.


This is to advise that Governor Larry Hogan ordered the United States Flag and Maryland State Flag be lowered to half-staff effective immediately and returned to full-staff at sunset on the day of interment (December 29). This action is in honor of Officer Keona Holley of the Baltimore Police Department, who died today, December 23, 2021, after being critically injured in the line of duty on December 16, 2021.
