The funeral for Nelsonville Firefighter Jeff Armes will take place on Friday, May 7, 2021. Flags may be raised back to full-staff on Friday at sunset.

Governor DeWine ordered U.S. & Ohio flags to half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout Athens County, the Ohio Statehouse, the Vern Riffe Center, and the Rhodes State Office Tower May 3, 2021 through interment (unknown) in honor of Nelsonville Firefighter Jeff Armes.

All other public buildings and grounds throughout the state may fly the flags of the U.S. & Ohio at half-staff at their discretion for the same time period.
