Today, Governor Josh Shapiro ordered Commonwealth flags on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds in Chester County to immediately fly at half-staff staff until the date of interment, which has not yet been announced, in honor of West Whiteland Fire Company Firefighter Colin Reedy, who died in the line of duty. 

US and Commonwealth Flags currently lowered statewide in honor of Philadelphia Police Officer Richard Mendez, who died in the line of duty, should remain lowered statewide on all Commonwealth facilities, public buildings, and grounds until sunset on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, per the Governor's order.
