By order of the Governor and in accordance with the Hometown Heroes Act, flags over the State Capitol and all State office buildings will be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Wednesday, February 14 in honor of Blount County Sheriff’s Office deputy Greg McCowan who was killed in the line of duty on February 8.
