Add a Half-Staff / Mourning Ribbon
When an official proclamation is made for the American flag to be lowered to half staff, the accepted solution on a wall mounted flag set is to tie a long black ribbon to the top of the flagpole allowing it to drape over the American flag. Our Black Mourning Ribbon is hemmed on all four sides and made with the same fade resistant invista nylon 66 used in our commercial quality Endura-Nylon American flags. Ribbon measures 5' x 2.75" (Actual length is 10 feet, the fabric is folded in half with 2 grommets placed at the top fold for attaching to pole.)

I bought this set to replace a flag set purchased from a big box store that barely made it through the summer. It has been up a few weeks now and in great shape. The flag does not wrap around the pole. The hardware, pole, and flag are of very good quality. It looks beautiful on display. I am very happy with this purchase!
I have had my new pole and flag up for several weeks. It went together quick and I had it mounted on my porch post in about 5 minutes. The metal rings that hold the flag work really well. I do not think the flag will come loose. For fun I tried to install a smaller state flag. The adjustable upper ring bracket can be easily positioned as needed on the pole using just the thumbscrew. Nice feature. We had 40-50 mph gusts last week and the flag never wrapped around the pole. It flew great the whole time. Wish I could post a photo of that. Definitely a quality system.
We were an early buyer of the new flag pole and we are extremely happy with it. Besides never tangling, even in no wind conditions it is held out from the pole by the new rod system so that the flag hangs nicely. The rod and clip are very easy to use. We have had many compliments by our neighbors.
A few months ago, we replaced our old flag and pole with the Avenue Flag Set. What a wonderful upgrade it has been! Our flag no longer twists up on itself. Whenever I look out the window the flag is hanging as is should be. Love it!
