Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.

Want to safely remove wrinkles? (Steam is the secret)
  • Set your iron for Synthetics (with steam)
  • Once iron is hot, test a small corner (Iron temperatures can vary)
  • You can add a piece of cloth between the iron and the flag for extra protection
  • Try spraying stubborn wrinkles with water for better results

Remove flag wrinkles with extra steam and med-low iron temperature

Review of Endura Nylon American Flag

Very impressed with the overall quality and expect the flag to withstand weather elements better than the previous one that was not an Endura Nylon

My experience with American Flag Express has been superior. Thank you very much, we ordered and received our flag within 3 days. Also a special thank-you to Mr. D'Amico for keeping us up to date on our half staff alerts.

    Comment...

I've been a satisfied southern customer for many years. It's customary in my home to fly the small rebel battle flag below old glory IMO of all the troops lost in the civil war. I've tried a number of times to reorder my Jack, and my current one is quite faded. Help! Thank you.

    DEFEATS LONG ISLAND WINDS

Posted by Kenneth Konrad on Dec 28, 2015

A very tough product. Here on Long Island, the wind comes out of the North Atlantic and a good, strong flag was needed. I have had lesser flags get shredded.
