Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. More information can be found here on our American Flag Repair Services.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.

Want to safely remove wrinkles? (Steam is the secret)
  • Set your iron for Synthetics (with steam)
  • Once iron is hot, test a small corner (Iron temperatures can vary)
  • You can add a piece of cloth between the iron and the flag for extra protection
  • Try spraying stubborn wrinkles with water for better results

Remove flag wrinkles with extra steam and med-low iron temperature

    Sturdy flag endures well

Posted by Richard Butler on Sep 02, 2014

I have flown one of these for over a year, night (w/lighting) and day, and it's still quite bright and nice. I like the sturdy canvas edge, with two grommets, where the back of the flag attaches to the pole, the stiched stars, and sewn stripes. Because it flew against some fresh paint on our house, and a small section has paint splotches, I just purchased a replacement, and mounted it. I am very pleased with the quality of this flag and purchased a second one as part of a flag set for my niece, as a housewarming present. Since we live on a corner lot, I fly one on the front of our home, and one on the side. This is a great flag, I'm sure you'll find it an excellent value -- sturdy, beautiful, and very fairly priced.

    American flag

This is a great flag for our mid-coast winds on the Siuslaw River in Florence, OR. We're two miles from the Pacific Ocean, as the crow flies, and abt 2 miles from the Coast Guard inlet channel, but the lay of the land is such that we are well known around the state as the "Wild Winds" area and that it is! We've gone through dozens of flags in 15 years of living on this bluff. So, we're hopeful this new high-wind flag will fly a long time...will let you know.
