Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. More information can be found here on our American Flag Repair Services.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.

Want to safely remove wrinkles? (Steam is the secret)
  • Set your iron for Synthetics (with steam)
  • Once iron is hot, test a small corner (Iron temperatures can vary)
  • You can add a piece of cloth between the iron and the flag for extra protection
  • Try spraying stubborn wrinkles with water for better results

Remove flag wrinkles with extra steam and med-low iron temperature

    Flying High

The flag arrived in a timely manner and is well constructed. It's flying from my front porch and looks lovely. We have some high winds and it seems able to withstand them.

    NYLON AMERICAN FLAG 4' x 6'

I purchased one of these earlier in the year for my brand new pole. I've had it on the pole almost continuously for 8 months except for twice, when I brought her down to move the clips and inpsect the halyard. Other than being very slightly soiled, the flag looks just like the way it did when I hoisted it the first time. The rings are still sound and the stitching is intact, with no sign of tearing or tattering in spite of the several high wind storms we've had pass thru this year. So, I purchased another to have on hand "just in case" so that I'm never without an "Old Glory" in front of my home.

    Great Quality

Ordered mine to have the extra reinforcement. I put my flag on my truck went up to 60 mph been 2 weeks no rips. I don’t normally go 60mph, eventually it will wear out. But I usually go 30-40 mph on every day basis. The flag has really good stitching great quality.

over the years I've bought several flags from American Flags Express. They're always high quality. Their website is easy to navigate & very informative. While many companies steer you to their most expensive product, I'm impressed that they explained that if I'm not in a mostly high wind area, then their most expensive flag would not fly as well as their "average to high winds" product.
