Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
The flag on our boat was faded and needed replacing. Bought a new flag from American Flags Express and was comfortable in what I was buying because of their three levels of flags available and the descriptions that go with them. Also liked the large assortment of sizes available. Very happy with the quick delivery of the flag, and better with the quality of the flag. The extra stitching on edges and down the bottom of the flag are helping to make it fly better and stay better looking on our boat. Thank you!
