Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
When we realized our flag was not in good enough shape for Memorial Day, I got online and ordered a new one. It was super last minute but it made it in time to fly. This flag is very good quality. I used to get cheap flags for my truck and they would rip after going on the freeway. I paid the price for this one and it was TOTALLY worth it! Very good quality and does not rip. I have gone on the freeeway at 80mph multiple times and it has not ripped yet. Very impressed!
