Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
Great flag, lasts in high wind areas!
We had previously purchased a halyard with a steel cable center. In a very violent wind storm, the grommets wore through about 80% of the SS Snap, and the halyard snapped. Went for the Best stuff this time! Placed my order at 3:00 PM, and had the box on my desk at 1:00 PM the next day! Excellent Service!
We live in Southeast Arizona. Our 5 x 8 lasted 7 months, a record. A 3 x 5 may last a year. But the 5 x 8 just looks c good. We often get 60+mph winds

Though we haven't raised our new flag yet, I will tell you that my order was promptly filled and quickly shipped. In examining our new flag, the workmanship is high quality. Prior to ordering our new flag, I re-hemmed our old flag which is nylon. Here on a coastal bay, we get lots of winds when the nor'easters blow. When the old one gets raggedy again, we'll be proudly be flying the new one.
The package arrived within days and was in perfect shape. The new flag is up and flying proudly. Thanks for the great service!
We live in South Carolina and sometimes I feel we are living in a wind tunnel. This is at least the 3rd one of these flags that we have purchased. Last one was put up on July 4, 2013 and survived through a very difficult ice storm last year. Other flags we have gotten, cheaper, have only lasted a few months before raveling at the edges. Well work the cost.
