Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
This I would say is a 4.5 star flag! I bought this flag in october 2021 and since then my residence has expericened two straight weeks of constant wind with at least one day topping over 60 mph wind gusts each week. In December of 2021 we experienced approximately 84 mph winds if I remember right, if not more! This is an amazing flag! It has not frayed a bit that I can see on my 15 foot flagpole, havent taken it down either! The only .5 star is that it appears to have faded a bit, but I guess that is only expected to happen after flying high and proud for 6 months in a horrible dry climate! Love this flag, and please don’t jinx me for talking positive about it (yes I just knocked on wood too!)
I live in the Texas Coastal Bend where the wind typically blows - sometimes softly and sometimes as a gale. As a result, the edge of the flag is usually flapping. I decided to try a Poly-Max flag to see if it will last awhile. From the way it is made, the flag probably rates a 5 - time will tell.
Too early to tell how this will hold up. I have had a few other flags that didn't hold up.
Very well built and packaged as described!
Awesome!!!
Good quality, so far has held up in the windy area I am located
