Double the Life of Your American Flags
If you purchase high quality American flags, 6' x 10' or larger, consider our flag repair service. Eventually all flags wear out but if you return your American flag to us for repairs we may be able to double the life of it. The secret is to send it in at the first signs of wear. Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
Just finished another PGR mission. 105 miles at 70+ mph from my HD dresser. Not a thread out of place. Impressive!
I fly this flag from a 6' pole on the back of my silverado. 80mph long distance. Not a thread loose. Great job folks.
I got the flag and it is Gorgeous wonderfully made, Hopefully it will do good in the winds we have.
So far it's holding up well. Used for Patriot Guard Rider escort missions attached to my Harley Davidson. First mission, had a little fraying on the fly end, that my wife secured by zig-zag stitching the top and bottom corners. Have another 100 mile escort mission this week, we'll see how it holds up.
Very heavy duty have yet to have more than 15 mph. Should do very well!
I have had these flags for a number of years, flying double flags on a 20' pole in Wisconsin night and day through all weather. I have never had one tear or fray, always having to replace them only after 18-24 months due to fading. The flag is probably overkill for most people.
