Heavy Duty American Flags - Better Flags For Earth & Beyond™

Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

  • 100% Made in the USA
  • Commercial Quality for Extreme Winds
  • UV Resistant
  • 2-Ply Polyester
  • Reinforced for Wind Damage Resistance
  • Sewn stripes & embrodiered stars
  • Unidirectional Chain Stitch for all horizontal seams (which makes the flag much stronger)
  • Lock Stitch for all edge hems
  • 100% Made Tough in the USA

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.

    Extreme winds

I live in the High Desert of Southern California, where we have almost constant high winds, and intense sun. Generic flags MIGHT last a month before either shredding or fading. I’ve found these Poly Max flags usually last 5-6 months before showing signs of wear.

The flag is beautifully made. I expect this construction will withstand our Outer Banks winds very well

Holds up very well. Displays 24/7 and only replace about once a year due to fading and damage.

    Poly-Max flag(extreme winds)

Amazing craftsmanship as a well as super fast shipping! A lot of extra stitch work in all the areas that usually get wind-worn within a short time in my windy area. When I need another flag, I’ll order another of the same instead of sewing extra stitching on an old flag.

Well Made for Very High Winds

Posted by James DeSantis on Jul 10, 2022

I bought this flag as a replacement for an earlier purchase. The very high winds we experienced over the year started ripping the end of the flag. (I have it in for repairs with American Flags Express now.) This is the heaviest material available and it certainly feels like it'll withstand a tornado or hurricane! I expect this flag will last quite a while before damage sets in. It does take a stronger wind to get the flag to unfurl and wave than the other flag did, but we get enough wind to make it wave routinely. I'd buy this flag again!

    Flag is wonderful

Posted by Puttsey on Jul 04, 2022

I have bought flag here before. At first I thought this flag was a little thin. However, it flies much better than my heavier flag. Very , very satisfied. Bought the no tangle 6 foot pole which has not tangled yet. Again very satisfied. Highly recommend both.
