Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
This Extreme Gusty Wind flag FAR OUTPERFORMS any flag I've flown. We live on the top of a hill in Western Wisconsin and get some serious winds. Most flags don't last 60 days...this one has been flying over 6 months and is still looking GREAT. Thanks for making an awesome flag!
Very nice flag and easy purchase.
I regularly purchase a set of 6 x 10 flags for a church. I am pleased with the quality and it is important to me to have American made products available. I will be a repeat customer for sure.
My most recent flag order is a replacement (sometime likely in late summer) flag for an extra-reinforced flag I purchased about 18 months ago. The one I have now is still in very good condition and only beginning to show signs of wear or fading. Northern Mexico (between ALBUQUERQUE and Santa Fe) is extremely windy in the spring and brutally sunny in the summer. This flag has withstood everything for 18 to 24 months and is still flying in all its glory. I have used Flag Express for many years and will continue to order from them every time I need a flag or pole or accessory.
This is my 2nd flag from American Flags Express, not because of any disappointments but because I learned years ago that their products are very well made and their customer service is excellent as well. It arrived sooner than I expected and was packaged well. The quality is top notch and I would recommend them to anyone. My old flag is still in great condition and flies proudly.
I fly my flag in the bed of my truck and I get a year out of these flags to a week out of any other flags!!!
This flag is excellent in workmanship and design to withstand the wind. The flag is replacing flew for approx. 3 years in all weather conditions and 24 hours a day. It held up to some 65+ mph gusts and some of the strongest winds ever recorded in Central Illinois. I will buy this design again sometime in the future when this one needs replacing.
As also, very happy with American Flags Express. Extremely easy to place order and very quick with delivery. I do like that they are right here in Wisconsin, but know if I was even out of state, order and delivery would be just as fast.
I bought one a year ago and the flag did not fray. I Ordered this replacement because after a year the flag was looking a little faded. In New Mexico we have high winds and this flag is on the pole 24/7 365 days a year.
