Recognized as the most durable of all flag fabrics, our 2-Ply Polyester American flags are your best choice for extreme winds and intense sun. If you are not in a high wind area, we recommend our Endura Nylon American Flag, which is just as fade resistant as our 2-Ply Polyester, but made from 200 denier nylon which flies better in average to high wind conditions.

Flying Flags on Vehicles
We highly advise against flying any flag on a vehicle except in slow-moving parades. If you're driving 45 mph into a 15 mph wind the combined effect is 60 mph. On the expressway the combined effect can easily exceed 75 mph, category one hurricane winds! At that speed grommets can fail and flags fly off onto another drivers windshield. Flag life is dependent on many factors when being used on a vehicle. Factors include vehicle turbulence, flag is flown in slipstream or wind shadow and combined vehicle speed and wind speed/heading.
Finally!...I now have an American flag that will hold up! (I hav'nt flown it very long yet...but by the quality of the flag, I'm sure it will last quite awhile!)And its made right here in the U.S.A!...why would ya buy an American flag thats not made here in the U.S.A?? Fast shipping too!
We buy the Reinforced Poly Max American Flag (item #010063) because it REALLY holds up to the high, strong winds we have on the island. We hoist the flag around Memorial Day and take it down Columbus Day. The quiet flapping of the beautiful American grown and made cotton flag is so very pleasant to listen to. By the end of those 6 months the ends are a bit frayed and tattered so the flag is retired ceremoniously. We always look forward to our next purchase of Old Glory for the next season.
We go through 2 flags a year due to high wind and extreme weather in our location. This is the highest quality flag I've ever ordered and has excellent reinforcement rows of stitching to prevent fraying and seam separation of the stripes! I'll review again in 6 months when I can confirm it's sturdiness after weather.
That is definitely the highest quality of flag that we have had. You can feel the quality when you handle it. I expect it to last for years.
